http://catawbacoops.com/. We have Our lumber and we are ready to go we have 6 babies about five weeks now waiting on us, although one is a buff it may be my first meat bird in about 8 weeks, but I understand buffs are prolific layers

Looks really neat.

Can I ask how much did it cost for all your lumber, screws, etc to make this? Also, does the bottom section have a way to close (be covered) for winter weather? How many chickens can it hold? How long and tall is it?

Thank you very much!

I spent @$200 followed the materials list, they suggest this. Using the other half sheet of plywood that we cut In half lengthwise to cover one half of the windward side bottom guarding against winds leaving the other side open for ventilation.

Thank you Jo Anne!

So it's about 8' long by 4' high? Was it as easy as they say for someone who isn't a carpenter (or even remotely close to one)??

Thanks again!
