Started and stopped

Hey. Chicken newbie here. Two of my BR's started laying about 5 days ago, skipped a day and now nothing. Is it usual for them to lay every few days once they start? Or should they be laying more regularly?

I think it takes a while. Mine just started laying a couple of weeks ago and i'm getting 2 or 3 eggs a day with 11 hens. Good Luck
