Started framing **new pics**

Got the windows in and it's all papered. No wind getting into this coop!!

East side, takes a beating from the wind: North side, vents all along the top above their roosting area:

Hope to have the doors on today and will upload some pics after that's done. A cold storm is supposed to come in tomorrow, maybe snow. It's hard to imagine since these pics
were taken just a few minutes ago. It's a beautiful day!

This is awsome but I have one question the thing that hubby made for the children to pick up the nails any plans on how to build that I could sure use one here.

I love the design and layout plenty of room for the chickens for sure but I warn you now you will never be done with chickens trust me I know I started with 6 just for the eggs and then meat, now I have 12 and we are talking getting more as soon as I add on to the coop which will be soon sorry Hubby but the wife will win and you will never have a shop......

Start building another building if you want a shop

that's the only way you will get one.

@ Backyard_Chicken_Rancher, My DH said he bought some earth magnets to the tune of $70 and put them in a pvc pipe & capped it. He drilled a couple of holes at each end and ran a zip tie through it so that you can tie something to it to drag it. This thing is strong. I had a pile of construction straps laying nearby and picked up this contraption. The magnetic force was so strong that it pulled the straps to itself trapping my hand between the straps and the contraption. I'm not kidding, I was panicked as I really struggled to pry the straps off. The straps were digging into my hand and it really hurt. I'm thinking it's not the best "toy" for a small child.

He made it so that he could take the kids out to the desert and look for meteorites...hey, I don't ask!

Some people are amused by hunting for meteorites, others by chickens. I will tell you one thing though, $70 for THAT??? I don't think I'm going to scale back on my chicken run!!

I don't blame ya there that is for sure, I have a dirt floor carport, I am forever losing screws, nuts bolts and things so I could use one of those thanks for the idea and info on it it won't be around any small child I want it for me to find these things around there and the yard.

How's the hand?
