So my second set of 9 layers are 3-4 weeks old time to start on the coop. this past Friday I started the coop is 5X8 kind of liek the purina mills plan. I learned my lesson from my mistakes from my first coop. My first mistake was totally building not where it will be put. Kind of heavy to move took 4 of us and one hernia to do. this time I built the walls and everything in sections then moved and installed them.Last time used normal roofing this time metal roofing (free from work), last time the nesting boxes took 3 hours to build this time 20 minutes.
I used 4X4 pressure treated for the legs cut at 24" so that they had more cover during bad weather and to add more space to the coop. I used vinyle flooring to help prevent the wood from rotting out.
