How old are the baby chicks when you stop feeding them the starter feed & what do you switch them to?

at eight weeks old you switch them to Grower. than layer when they lay their first egg!

A Pullet (depending on the breed) will generally lay her first egg between 4-6 months of age. Like MR MKK said, start them on a layer ration with some crushed oyster shell after they start laying. They reach full maturity at 9 months. I realize some people might get confused about terms like "starter" and "grower" feed rations. I use an organic chick starter/grower which is labeled as such with 22% protein. I've used lesser percentages which vary between 18-22%.
