Starting a country adventure!

Hello Im Leslie and we just bought a place with some 40 acres, so exciting! The place is coming with guinea hens which are so strange looking to me, but its fun to do something different. Im interested in getting some kind if chicken next spring, or other fowl, I'm just not sure what at this point. Anyway, I look forward to learning everything I need to know and am excited to see how this guinea hen thing goes!

Did you say 40 acres? Oh, you will find a chicken breed, or two, or three that you like. There are many many nice birds out there. Yes, I agree, those guinea birds are interesting looking critters.

Thanks for the welcome! We are planning to make a VERY large vegetable garden come spring and so I had already been thinking of getting ducks to help with slug control,but now that Ive been readinf about guineas, Im super hapoy we are inheriting then
