I love North GA...My mother-in-law used t live in Cashiers N.C. just over the GA/NC line.

WOW!!!!!!!!! I used to have a 20' by 10' run outside the run that my chickens used to run in before the raccoons killed over half my flock and before my new chicken coop was rebuilt. I love your setup Cyn. Your place looks like mine. I live in the foothills of the mountains about 6 hours away from you.

We finished!Well, the predator proofing at the bottom is still lacking, but we'll get to that when we scavenge the old pens for the hardware cloth. It went from days of raining cats and dogs and warm temps to sunshine and snow flurries. I mean we were about 70 and now, the bottom's dropping out.
(and yes, that is a Screen door frame for a gate. We had it for one gate already, and had another identical frame, so we screwed them together for strength. There was already hardware cloth over one of them. When it falls apart, we'll build one, but for now, it saved tons of work.) Ignore the plastic and other junk in the pen-it was all pushed under the coop and we'll drag it out when it's not so cold and gross out. The tarp was just a windbreak for today so that wind wouldn't howl through the underside of the coop.

The new pop door used to be the old roost pit cleanout door so it was already there.

IT LOOKS JUST WONDERFUL! ESPECIALLY THE SIZE AND LOCATION. YOUR FLOCK WILL LOVE THE SHELTER FROM THE TREES, ESPECIALLY ON HOT SUMMER DAYS, i'VE BEEN FOLLOWING YOUR PROGRESS ON THIS PROJECT SINCE YOU STARTED POSTING IT.
