Starting out

My wife and I are planning to get some backyard chickens this spring. Probably starting with 6 chickens. I plan to build a 4'x6' coop with a 6'x12' covered run. We are located in NE PA (Poconos). Any suggestions regarding breeds for this area are appreciated.
