Stick tight fleas.

I noticed some black something's on the face and combs of my chickens. I researched and found out they are stick tight fleas. Uck.

I have put vaseline on them. Took them out of the coup. Cleaned and sprayed it down good. Is this what I needed to do. I hope this gets rid of these awful pest. Anyone got any other suggestion s?

Can you post some pictures of the fleas? Many pick those off with tweezers to remove them. Vaseline can be applied to smother them. Permethrin can be sprayed in the coop to get rid of them. Here is some reading:
