Still able to reach perch with wing clip?

Three of my 4 girls flew out of my yard today. Two were on top of the fence and one in my neighbors yard. I can't have this for their own safty. So tonight I'm going to clip one wing on each bird. I've read up on how to do it, but I'm worried they will have trouble getting to their perch now.
Should I make a lower one? Will they still be able to jump up a little?

Try it and see. They get most of the elevation to roost from the jump.
When chickens fly over a fence, they usually jump/fly onto the top of the fence first. Make it uncomfortable or awkward for them to do so by adding a strip of welded wire or chicken wire to the top angled inward.
