At the rate my 2 Orpington Bantam pullets are laying, it looks like I'm going to have to do some staggered hatching. Obviously I can't get by with just 1 incubator. I've been using a Hovabator 1602 (Forced-Air) which works fine with the amount of chicks/ducklings I am usually hatching. My question is, what kind of incubator works best as a hatcher. Forced or Still air? Any recommendations? I'd like something on the cheaper side.

Thanks, :jumpy!

I've used a cheap Janoel knock-off as a hatcher and it works quite well for me. I like it because it has lots of room and it's easy to clean.

yes I am happy its holding temp very well so far and its easier to get the humidity up than my brinsea... so for a hatcher I am fully enjoying it
Don't get me wrong I Love my brinsea for the incubation period.... its just nice to have a smaller unit that holds temps to hatch in.... I couldn't afford another Brinsea to use as a hatcher..... lol
