I have 13 Runner ducks that are 6 weeks old. About 2 weeks ago most starting showing signs of niacin deficiency. Shaking legs and weakness. I have been sprinkling niacin in their food and adding a vitamin mix to their water. They are ranging and in a pond. Even if I'm not adding supplements I would think they are getting what they need naturally. All but two seem to be fine. The two move around just fine but when it comes to standing in a position for more than a few seconds their legs shake and then they sit.

Could this be something else? Should I try to dose them separately? How?

I have a Blue Swedish mix which had weak legs while it was a few weeks old, and it lasted about a month. It was fed on TS Starter mix and bugs. , it could walk and stand for a few seconds, then had to sit and rest. It has out grown the problem, and is very healthy- can walk and run just fine- doesn't stop to sit. I attributed it to growing pains- or irregular growth spurts. It is also a very heavy bird. This may not be the answer to your problem though- so I hope others will chime in..- Kat in Penna-
