CA, always with my chickens!
So I've had this hen for about 3 weeks now. I cleaned out the nestbox, put clean stuff down and golf-balls, and still no eggs! She IS a laying hen because the man said she was, and I trust the man. He's had chickens for over 20 years. But I don't know how old she is. But what am I doing wrong? Am i not feeding her the right stuff? Help!

That last question will be hard to answer unless you tell us what you're feeding her.

Do you only have 1 hen?

As creatures of habit, they get stressed by changes. Stress = no eggs. Moving a chicken to a new place is stressful to them. Moving a single hen away from all her friends is even more stressful.
A single hen may go downhill. They are flock animals and need a flock.

She has another hen with her. We wanted to add other chickens slowly because our other hen lost her friend when he had to be given away. Im giving her layer feed.

If she's laying age then the layer feed is correct if it is fresh. Try to limit treats and scratch to about 5% of total intake. Temporarily raising the protein can help.

3 weeks is a fairly long adjustment period.

Each time you add chickens, it's best to add the same number as you already have so the new ones are less likely to be bullied.

I have had several people on here tell me a month or longer is common for chickens to get adjusted. I have had mine for two weeks and still no eggs. The lady I purchased them from said they were laying at her home. I'm starting to think I'm doing something wrong.

This is not to say that you aren't doing something wrong but based on what you've posted, I'd just have a little patience. Things should all work out in the end.

Toss them a little BOSS in the evenings as a treat. This really seems to stimulate mine to lay more eggs and lay earlier the following AM.

Been throwing the boss out every evening and now success First egg yesterday followed by another first thing this morning. When they see my truck pull into the drive they all start talking and get anxious for me to give them fresh water and boss. They seem a lot happier the past few weeks.
