I have posted a topic before about this, but I am still not sure! I am in love with Both the Khaki Campbells, and Blue Swedish ducks. I like that Khaki Campbells are not huge ducks, but people say that they are a nervous breed. I would like a breed that is very friendly. I love the Blue Swedish too. What are your opinions on these breeds? any information on wither breed would be greatly appreciated! thank you very much!

Also, can you feather sex either of these breeds? The feed store that I am buying from does not sex their ducklings, so...I would like to see if there is any way to see if they are male or female. Thanks!!

I am very far from expert on this, but I have one of each and although I love them both, I think I prefer our Khaki Campbell. She might be a little more nervous -- more likely to quack if she notices anything -- but she also seems more clever somehow. She's the first one to get to me if I come outside, and the one who sticks to me like glue when I'm gardening in case I turn over something tasty. I've also just taught her to hop in my lap for peas, and she will hang out for a while even when they're all gone. In defense of the Blue Swedish, she would probably jump in my lap if she could, but she really is a lot bigger and heavier.

I have month old campbells. They are sweet but very nervous. One moment they are eating out of my hand and nibbling on me and the next they are stampeding away. I had a choice of pekins or campbells at Rural King. Pekins are very friendly but loud. I live in town and that was not acceptable. Campbells are suppose to be one of the quieter breeds. I was also in love with swedes, but they were not at the store when I and my daughter was. I just picked out the smallest ones. Out of five, three have started quacking. Campbells or Swedes-

I think I would get both.

You can't feather sex either - so they are equal on that front.

I've got Swedish and they are very curious. They follow the poor dog around to check out what he's doing. They are like his paparazzi

Are you interested in ducks for their laying ability? Campbells should lay better than the Swedish.

Both are beautiful and I am sure you will love the ducks you get, no matter what kind!
