Hello all! This is the second time posting this topic, but now that the chick is a little older, I’m going to ask again!
My kids and I attempted to hatch 9 eggs and we had success with just one. Here is a picture of our chick, Lolly, that hatched on April 2. I really would love to know which of 3 hens laid her egg. Any help would be appreciated. I included a photo of the three possible hens and also a photo of the rooster (he’s the only one). I posted before when she first hatched that she had feathers on her legs and feet, and that seemed to point us in the direction of the Brahma, but those seem to have disappeared. So maybe it wasn’t her? Is it still hard to tell breeds at this age? Her spots are so pretty, almost like a cheetah. Is there anything else I can look for? Also, we are almost certain this is a hen, but I am not an expert and I could be wrong! I did the feather test when she first hatched. Thanks for your help!

I don't think the mama is the brahma (white). My guess would be the rhode island red (red) or the barred rock (black/white speckles)
I think most likely the rhode island red is the mother.
You have a beautiful rooster by the way!

Thank you!

My bet is on the Brahma. The RIR could be the mother too. Probably not the barred rock-- I would expect much darker coloring in the chick if she was the mom.
She does have a lot of dark speckles if you look closer... that's what made me think it might be the barred rock

my guess is the BR! I think if the RIR was the mom it would have much darker coloring, and more of a solid pattern, a few years back a broody hen who I was carrying for hatched out a BR mix who looked VERY similar to your chick.
