I isolated one of my hens because her rear end was red and inflamed and the rest of the flock was pecking her raw. She is resting now and has recently pooped, which I thought was a good sign, in case she was backed up with poop or an egg. She does not seem to be in distress, but previously was trying to either lay or poop. This was before I observed her droppings in her crate. Is the fact that she recently pooped a good sign here? Could she have an egg stuck in her? I am pretty new at this. Thanks!

Some of my hens have red rears because they had their feathers picked off off the butt. maybe wait some more days to see if it'll heal. And pooping is good, even for a red butt.
