Honky came with a mate, Stubs..but he had his leg amputated..he did quite well for four months, but then we lost him...Honky lost interest the moment Stubs got hurt. But now Stubs is our only goose in a sea of 43 ducks. They all get along just fine..in fact Honky is a shy goose so is never mean to anyone. But I worry that he needs his own mate. It’s too late now..and then ext year, do we buy a baby and. Arise it with him and hope they fall in love after acting like siblings? Plus we think he’s a male but we don’t know for sure..he’s a French Toulouse..any ideas for finding him a wing-fling?

You could get a sexed gosling or 2 and introduce but it would be more like 3 weeks before he/she would take it under it's wing so to speak. You'd need to brood and just take the duckling out for daily visits. When we brought home 2 day old goslings for our pair I kept them inside until week three. I wanted to make sure they were going to accept them and my female had lost her only gosling in the shell while trying to hatch so It took a while for her to get over that. But by 3 weeks both gander an goose were madly in love so they got the 2 goslings and raised them as their own. My gander loved babies too. He was papa goose to many a Muscovy duckling that hatched here. :love

Maybe Honky is female? they are more reserved than ganders. You should know by late winter early spring when laying season starts. Beautiful goose. I have a French Toulouse also female.
