I have 7 Barred rock chickens, 6 hens 1 Roo. I bought them on Easter day a year ago, I am still waiting for their 1st molt. When Can I expect their 1st molt to occur? They have been laying 5 to 6 eggs a day, with 6eggs being the normal, much more often than 5.

It's usually about 18 months in that they'll do their first molt, though I had an Orpington who wasn't even quite a year old when she went through hers! Crazy chicken!

ok thanks I am doing a scientific experiment with my chickens. I am raising the Internal voltage of their Bodies, to a Maintenance limit of -25mV, and to a Repair limit of -50mV and providing as much Free Electrons as their bodies can absorb, on a daily basis. I am documenting their egg production since Earthing their Roost, and changing their Internal Voltage. I have NO Lighting other than the Sun, and No heating or any kind.

I will play with their bodies internal "Voltage" when they start to Molt. I will be running them daily at -25mV daily, but if they show any signs of either stress or molting, I will raise the "Voltage" to -50mV to aid in repair during that time, and restore them back to normal -25mV for maintenance after. They will be getting the same amount of Electrons throughout which will be Maximum, they can absorb daily.
