I'm a little confused, but as usual, I'll jump right in. My goal is to introduce myself. I keep ending for here so I guess, this is where we do that.

I live in God's country, the rare beauty and the wonderful weather of northwest Washington, on the northwest side of Puget Sound. I've lived here for almost 20 years in a 1925's very small house, on an average sized lot (50'x110'). Which means, a lot of dirt to play farmer. I think if I had acreage, I'd probably "do myself in" by trying to "plant" it all. I have no self-control when it comes to planting things. I'm only limited by the available dirt. I think that's a very good thing. I'm learning new things all the time. I have a veggie garden, and have planted asparagus, strawberries, 4 kinds of raspberries, black currents, 2 kinds of elderberries, two kinds of blackberries, winter berries, grapes, plum trees, soap plants, 12 varieties of apple trees, a fig tree, a dog, a cat, and 4 chickens, and flowers. I try to do everything organic. And the wonderful taste of home-grown has ruined me. I'm such a big baby when I have to buy food from the stores. It just doesn't taste right. So, yes, I'm soooo spoiled and I love it. I've learned so many new things, and the good news is I still have so much more to learn. And, I do whine a lot when I take on too much. As I work the "farm", I'm trying to get things set up to age in place. I've made mistakes, had to do things over again. Beats watching TV. My hens lay such wonderful tasting eggs I can never buy eggs from anyone else; eggs from other sources taste "dirty". So, I guess, I'm going to keep my hens for a long time. Never a dull moment. Wishing you the same. I don't do grumpy. I love to share.
