My first egg on 9-11 on 9-12 we got another. On 9/13 no egg both eggs were not there in the morning but there in the late afternoon. I always thought eggs came in the morning. We should have many to come. We have six chicks in a tract home.

If there's a way to make all the hens lay in the morning, I'm sure someone will let us know! I used to think that as well, until I got my own chickens. Now I know that One lays in the morning, most of the rest lay before 2pm & 1 will ocassionally lay late in the evening...this is why I check the nests numerous times per day. Each chick is different and so are their laying times.
