stoped laying

I have 6 1 yr old rir and I had at least 4 eggs a day all Thru winter and spring. And now I'm only getting 1 a day sometimes not even one . I been feeding them layer feed and scratch feed ? Is it normal for them to stop laying? I'm fairly new at this but doesn't seem rite they all stopped at once I have osp buff that's been broody in the nest box they all prefer using that wldnt effect ther laying wld it?

Are they molting? Are the others showing signs of broodiness? Do they have calcium and water? You may want to cut back on scratch as this is fattening and fat hens don't lay many eggs.

My husband told me I was feeding them to much scratch so maybe that's it. They have plenty fresh water everyday. No sign of molting. But one of my other hens is broody she is an older hen

My hens feeder is always full also so they eat all day. Is that ok

Yup, that's fine. Mine is like that too. If they laid all through the winter then they may just be taking a break for a bit.

That's fine with me if they need a break I prob will cut back on scratch then. I'm still learning ther routines I love just watching them especially if one finds a treat she have 15 hens chancing her around to get it lol. Cracks me up
