I had my 10 year old daughter with me, and we went just to look at the chicks. They were trying to get rid of the ones they had left to make room for a new shipment. So, I walked out with what they had left. 9 chicks from 2-3 weeks old. No idea what they are, but only paid a total of $2.50 for all of them. LOL There looks to be at least three different types. Will be interesting to see what they become.

dang I WISH that had happened to us lol we paid 1.99 each for our 6 we got today lol still seems like a good deal to me but they cant guarantee pullets even though the sign said they were as oops they had some mixed up lol

Stopped by just to look.

That's why I am staying away from TSC these days.
Good luck.

DH asked at our local TSC if they are getting anymore...nope, will sell out last week's shipment and that will be it.

DH then called TSC and two other feed stores 40 miles from us. That TSC is offering Ideal pullet 236 (whatever that is) and straight run on several varieties. But one of the feed stores is expecting an order on April 17th with Silver Lace Wyandottes! DH reserved 5 for our flock!

I've been calling three TSC stores every day for the past 2 weeks and still no chicks in our area.

I am hoping today maybe because they said they are "sure" they will be in this week.

my tsc store says they will have more shipments coming in for the next 3 weeks! and I have them holding some polish bantams when they arrive tomorrow!

I passed on .25 each cornish rock chicks....don't have the room, or the feed to give these little piggies. but not a bad deal at all for them.

as far as getting the last that they have, I would think that pullets would probably end up being left, because the roos start feathering out so pretty (and aren't the pretty ones what kids go for?) so you might have a good chance of getting a lot of pullets anyways. good luck to those that thrust their hands in the straight run bin!

some how last year when we started our flock with TSC assorted reds...we ended up out of the 11 straight run that we got...only 2 were boys. not sure how that happened at all. don't beleive the saying if they are white they are boys, because the six white ones we got that they had left they were all girls. must have been crossed with leghorns though, because they are flighty and never really wanted any lovin (kind of how I read that leghorn personalities are). you can almost tell the boys, because especially in reds.
