stopped laying??

I rescued two chickens from a relocting neighbor in October and both were egg layers proir to the move.It has been two months now and not one egg. Is this normal? and do chickens stop laying or lay less in the winter?

I think you should consider the time of year. Out of 19 layers, I get 2-6 eggs a day at this time. Don't worry, they'll start laying again. My first chicken actually laid her first egg on Christmas Day 2 years ago!

They certainly lay a lot less. Even with a light on, there are days I get only one egg from eight chickens (although one is molting right now and I don't expect her to be giving me any eggs).
