I've heard to leave chickens on their starter feed until they start laying. I'd rather them not be on medicated feed for a few weeks before they start laying. Mine are almost 15 wks old.

They are on Purina start & grow. What can I put them on that TSC carries that has enough protein?

Mine were on starter/grower up to the point of laying. I didn't eat the first eggs, but only because I have severe medication allergies. I didn't want to take the chance.
If you can find straight grower at your feed store, it's not medicated.

I haven't seen any at TSC, will have to check other places I guess (my options are limited here, may have to hit the next town over).

Check the local feed stores for an unmedicated chick starter. My feed store sells both kinds.

Is it the Purina green bag, flock raiser?
I didn't even see on the Purina bags where it says protein levels!!?!?!?!
