straight run pickins

We'll be replacing out flock next month. The local feed store is getting a shipment of straight run bantams does anyone have suggestions/photos of how perhaps we could TRY to get only one roo?

I'm sorry, but with bantams it is impossible to know the sex at day old, unless you could vent sex them and even that is not 100% acurate.

cross your fingers is my only suggestion!

we ended up with 12 bantams last year and 5 were roos and 7 girls

but they were too cute to pass up!

The ones you pick up with your left hand have a 50/50 chance or being girls and the ones you pick up with your right hand have a 50/50 chance of being boys. In other words, good luck!!
