I posted yesterday and I’m still looking for more advice.
My 7 week old pullet was attacked by a hawk 2 days ago. She has minimal scratches and punctures but she is still in obvious pain and I can’t really figure it out.
My mom said the hawk had her by her throat with his talons and he was trying to yank her through a small gap in the fence.
Her wings and legs seem all in working order but she will only lay on her side.her neck seems to be bothering her and she turns it back toward the left side but it also seems a bit better than yesterday, when she just let it hang. She’s drinking, so I gave her some baby asprin, but still won’t eat. Also getting electrolytes and vitamins. She’s much more alert today vs yesterday but she still flops over on her side and flails about 😳 any advice on what else I can do?

Here is your other thread for those who havent’t read it. It is best to keep updating the same thread for less confusing. Glad to hear that she is surviving. It may take time for her to get back to normal. She probably was injured seriously. Vitamin E can be helpful with neck and head injuries, so I would get some 400 IU vitamin E and give her one daily. 3 times a day, mix a small cup if chick feed, water, and a bit of scrambled egg, and feed her all that she will take. Hold it in front of her beak to peck at. Offer water after and often. Let her rest, and keep her warm.
