Strange acting hen.

I had this one hen that was around 7 months old that has always sort of acted strange and wouldn't have anything to do with the other chickens. She acted like she was afraid all the time. Her personality just kept getting worse until the other day she seemed real lame and couldn't get around good. By the next day I found her just barely breathing and soon she was dead. I'm wondering if anyone else has had a chicken simelier to this.

What breed was she? The acting scared part and not socializing could have just been the breed. As for the lameness, check into these chicken issues......
Marek's Disease
Rickets
Mycoplasma
Lack of vitamin E
Worms or Mites
A few more questions for you. How was the hen's appetite? Are any other chickens in your flock having issues? Did she have any swelling anywhere? Eye color change? Overheating?
