Strange 'big hen' feather behaviour

Well our Wyandotte has gone into broodiness again.

But that's not the problem, our other 'big girl' who resides with the GLW a buff Sussex is loosing her feathers!
Now I know its only June & we live in the UK the weather isn't particular warm at the moment.
So maybe its that?
It doesn't look as if she is being plucked by the GLW so that's out.
The only other addition to the garden is 3 6 week old chocolate Orpington's. She is around them all the time. (they are in a run area all the time)
Do you think that's it? is she trying to be a mommy?

Have you checked her over for external parasites? They can cause feather loss. Really, it could be any of the options you mentioned. If she's eating, drinking, isn't harboring pests and is otherwise behaving normally, I'd just play the wait and see game.
Maybe the new additions caused her to go into a stress induced molt, who knows?
