Strange Chick. Just an interesting thing

I have a hatch going on, and saw that one was having troubles. Decided to take a closer look, and took it out of the bator.

I wish I had taken a picture. The chick had somehow grown through it's yolk, and had a "band" of yolk up and over behind his neck. I did what I could to get him untangled, and have little hope for his survival, but it was very interesting to me.

Has anyone else had this happen?

No, he didn't make it. (Even if he had... I'm sure he would never have been "right", so all's well that ends well.)
