Strange dead duck embryo

I suspected this embryo to be dead yesterday but wanted to wait a day to be sure. Today is day 11 so I'm guessing it died sometime between day 7 and 10. When I cracked it open it was one solid thick sac like thing, completely different than the chicken embryos that died. Does anyone have any idea what this means? Or is this just the way duck embryos develop normally? Thank you very much for your help!
Ps. I changed the color and lighting on the close-up pic so it would be easier to see.

Are you referring to the red blood ring around the duckling, or the entire yolk sack? IMO, duck eggs are much more viscous, so that is what you are seeing. Good photo.
I'm referring to the entire thing, it was SO thick it was like I could have cut it with a knife. OK maybe not THAT thick lol but it didn't spill out everywhere the chicken ones do like when you crack a normal egg to cook

And I cracked open 4 other duck eggs on day 6 that were not fertile, those eggs were like normal, not so thick. Is there a chance maybe this egg was starting to cook?
