Strange egg…chalazae?worms?

Hello! I have been raising hens for 8 1/2 years in the suburbs. I have currently 5 layers and 2 grandmas who are 8 years old. We have no rooster.

This morning I had a strange egg and need some help. I took a pic. What is/are this strange white “thread”?

Any ideas?

It is strange, did it come from a "grandma" bird?
Looks like malformed chalazae.

Could be a type of worm. I am not 100% sure but someone else may have more information

Are they moving?
Very rare to see worms in an egg, would be a long tortuous path for them to travel.
I'd just leave it unless you see more, then get a fecal done on the suspect bird.
