Strange Egg????

I found an egg today, outside the nest box, very small, (even for a silkie) odd shaped and a chaulky type shell. I have two silkie pullets, 6 months old. They are not breeding yet, could this be an egg from one of them? When do they start to breed?

Breeding is not necessary for egg laying. Could be a first egg- still ironing out the whole process. Do you have other birds in the coop?

Yes, I have 7 mature silkie hens, and 3 mature silkie Roosters, plus my two 6 month old pullets, all in one coop together. This egg was found in addition to my normal two eggs I collect each day. I did not expect my two pullets to start laying until they were 8 months, but this looks like a first egg to me, I was wondering if it was possible this early?
