Strange Eyes in 6 week old Chick

I have a leghorn chick that has had this weird eye issue for possibly since she hatched, at least for the last three weeks that I could see. Both eyes are like this, no discharge or apparent respiratory problems. Seems like the skin around the eyes is stretched out? Any ideas?

Do you have any photos from the chick stage? It might be genetic. Does she seem to see things in front of her ? Can she open and close the eyes without issue ?

I haven’t noticed her having any sight problems, as far as I can tell she can close them fully. Unfortunately this is the best quality close up I have of her eye, back when she was a few days old. It has definitely become more pronounced since then.

In the chicks photo , the color looks more Darker, but in the current photo it looks redder. Am I see the correct coloration from my end?

From the little chick photo, it looks like it had started to developed in the corner the layer of skin. But it looks as if may be a deformity. I’m hoping so other chime in.

I think it’s just the lighting in the photos. The way it currently looks is not red, more like a normal pale color.
