this is the first year that i incubated my own chick's....after a lot of reading and a lot of looking in to i desided to incubate my own eggs.....i set 20 eggs to hatch for march 24th....i weeded out the ones that didn't take and left the rest to hatch.......well the 24 came and went.....nothing...the next day....still nothing.....it started yesterday.....and still going today...we're up to 6 chicks right now.....i've been on the phones with a local vet and a state vet trying to figure how on earth this happend.....to my under standing it only takes 21 day for chicken eggs to hatch!!!...mind ye i let my buff rocks hens X with a large silky bantom x, but both vet's told me that the egg's should of taken the female side of things and hatched on the 21 day.......there ugly but cute!!! will post pic's later
