I have a little polish hen who is just weird, I can’t tell if she is like really old or about a year.
She just took another break from laying.
her first break was from October to January, I thought it was a fair break since I just got her and she needed time to get used to the flock.
After she started again she layed for about 2 weeks max and then took another break for about a month, but yesterday day she layed an egg again.
Why is she like that?
She is a weird hen but she is happy and healthy

We have hens that are sporadic layers. It can be normal for some hens to do this.
One of our EE hens started laying again sometime in November, then decided to take a second vacation. She'll most likely start laying again here shortly.

I have an almost 3 year old OE who does that. She will lay for a few weeks, take a break, lay for a few weeks, take a break... She also appears to be healthy and happy, so no idea 🤷‍♀️
She saved my middle girls when they were young from a hawk attack by leading them deep into some bushes and keeping them so quiet it took us a while to find them. She has earned a forever home in spite of her crazy schedule:)
