There was a thread showing a picture of a 9 month old hen's poo that had reddish orange balls in it. Today I saw the EXACT same thing!

I saw the same thing today and it came from a 4 week old Cochin chick. I noticed the redness of the poo so I inspected it closer. It had several red balls about the size of tapioca in it.
The other thing that caught my attention was movement. There were a couple of very tiny worms about 1/4 inch long and thin as a hair.
I don't feel that the problem in the original post was ever diagnosed. There was speculation that the round balls were worm eggs or ova that had been shed. These balls were HUGE compared to the worms that I saw. How could they be worm eggs? Could a 4 week old chick pass ova?
What kind of worms did I see? What is the recommended treatment for that type of worm? And what are these mystery reddish orange fish egg/tapioca balls?
