Strange Silkie Behavior- Need Help!

Hello! I have a silkie that is less than a year old and has been isolating and acting lethargic in the hen house. She stays in there all day and hasn't drank any water or eaten any food. I have researched and done all that I feel I can in terms of what I thought could be possibly wrong. I have brought her in the past few days to try to get her to eat and drink (I thought maybe the rooster/others were bullying her), but she wont touch any of it. Her and the others were gotten at the same time, so there hasnt been any new chicks. Any recommendations as to what to do? I have checked to see if she is eggbound, have given electrolytes, gave an epsom bath, checked for mites/parasites, etc.

I’d quarantine her from the flock until you have a better idea of what she has in case she is contagious.

Silkies can be prone to different illnesses, keep an eye out for bright green poop as it can be a sign of starvation & mareks. I sadly just had to euthanize a silkie that wasn’t coming out of their coop, seemed lethargic & stopped eating & drinking.

I’d try giving her scrambled eggs or syringe feed a little egg yolk if possible. Hopefully she is alright. Most importantly just separate her from the flock as she is showing signs of illness to protect them.

Really sorry you’re dealing with this. I know first hand, it can be stressful. ❤️
