This is so random and so San Francisco...

My co-worker spotted a loose RIR this morning at the corner of Fremont & Harrison Streets in SF.

All morning I told myself "Forget about that chicken!"

But by lunch hour, my heart softened, and I couldn't resist going down there with a box to look. I did not find it.

There are lots of SF people with a soft heart for animals, so I'm sure someone else picked up this loose hen, but if you are in SF and have a soft heart, please take a look.

THANKS!

Glad to know there are other soft hearts out there. I was very relieved that I did not find the chicken.

I had the afternoon to think about all the reasons, as chicken-owners, we should not go picking up "strays".......mites, lice, unknown vaccinations, etc., not to mention the fact that I was not set up very well for quarantine measures.

Just something to think about when your heart-strings get tugged at by these situations. I'm talkin' to you softies out there....you know who you are.....
