Stray Roosters

So we have a flock of 5 hens, and we had a big RIR we had to get rid of due to aggression. We have 11 chicks and like 6 cockerels. We are keeping two bantam boys so the hens have a leader and a watchman. But out of no where as soon as we got rid of the RIR, two stray game roosters came and joined the flock. No clue where they came from. Is it possible to run them off or do we have to find homes for them? It’s weird our RIR killed the other two cockerels that we’re raised with him, why aren’t these two fighting?

i used to live in NC and i knew a lady with a rooster rescue. Legitimately...she had maybe 15 roosters. Granted, there were no hens around but she had other animals pigs goats cats etc. These roosters "never" fought. I say "never" because there would be the occasional disagreement scuffle but it was super rare. And they all lived peacefully free-ranging on her property with no restraints or limitations together for years so its def possible to have multiple roosters who dont fight in one flock.
I also used to have 2 buff orpington roosters in my flock and they never fought either. The one knew he was the beta rooster and he acted just like one of the hens, and never challenged my alpha for dominance and they lived super happy healthy lives :)

Youre strays are beautiful, btw. Maybe you just lucked out?:wee

They are beauties, but if we want to keep our chicks they have to go.
Just curious . Why can't you keep these roosters because of chicks? Does your town only allow a limited number of chickens? Or roosters? Or are you concerned about too many roosters for your flock of hens? They are gorgeous and seem happy to be there without flock disruption. Obviously with allowed limits there would need to be some rehoming. Like I said, I'm just curious.

I’m just scared they’re gonna start killing each other, like my RIR did. I was extremely attached to a bantam rooster, he’d fly on my shoulder and hang out with me. I was devastated when he died. And yeah, two of the hens are partially bald on the back, not very good. Also i think if there aren’t any hens for roosters, there’s nothing to fight about. That might be why these are okay with each other.

In my experience game fowl roosters are the least human aggressive and most flock protective of any fowl I have ever had. Is there any way to keep them until the temperament of the bantam cockerels can be assessed ?

We have the chicks in a large run and occasionally let them out to forage. So it’s possible but it’s not ideal.

Oh, so the roosters don't have access to the hens. Hmmm. I guess it could be a factor in why they don't fight. I really don't have experience with this kind of thing. I hope you can find good homes for them if they are as gentle as they seem someone may need a good rooster. It would be a shame to have someone make them into dinner. Be careful too about people buying roosters for cockfighting. My local breeder warned me about that.
