Hello! Alright, we got 7 hens to begin with, and they are so used to us. They're laying now. When we walk in, they're so unafraid they sit there like a rock until you move them or wait on them. Our other 5 chickens we got afterward are not like that. They do not let you pick them up. They run away. Even if you manage to catch one, it'll find out how to it away. Is there anything I can do to make them like me more? Please dont suggest food because it's very hard trying to give 5 stubbron hens a treat when you have 7 ones who arent afraid to come to you.
I've been trying to pick one up and carry her around with me, and that seems to be working, but it feels like I have to run around and chase a chicken to pick up before I go about my henhouse chores... so anything is appreciated!

Some chickens are naturally more stubborn than others. I have 2 hamburgs that wouldn't let me handle them alot when they were young. My chickens are super spoiled (more than they probably should be) and they came around to really liking me after a while. I guesse it's just some teenage faze some chickens go through. Just try to spend lots of time with them and they'll come around to enjoying your company. Sometimes I just hang out inside the chicken coop (crazy, I know) and they will come and sit in my lap. I've come to the point that I'm accepted as an extraordinarily large chicken!

Yea, the ones that are used to us squat down as if were the rooster. Could them not liking us as much be their breed? Ameracuna and Easter Eggers? And don't worry, we sit out in our coop too :)
