My chicks are on 20 day 2 have hatched and a few more cracked but one seems to be stuck halfway in it just cant seem to get the shell off no matter how hard it pushes what can i do. I dont want to open the bator and risk the other cracked obes from being disturbed help please. Would it be possible to wet a big towel wrap around rhe bator and then open it slightly to help this chick.

My solution to this problem is this: get a spray bottle of HOT water, reach in & pull out the chick as quickly as possible, spray incubator LID 3-4 times before closing. This jumps humidity very rapidly & restores any humidity loss from opening the bator immediately.

Thankyou done that. But now the 2 hatched chicks arevsitting on it and pecking at its headvpoor thing.

Are they still beating him/her up (sorry, some keys not working) If so, you can either move them to the brooder or move the 1 being picked on til it gains strength. Use the spray bottle again when you open the bator.

Theyve stopped pecking at it thank goodness and hes gained enough strength to move away from them. I think the reason he was stuck was because he was hatching out of the pointy side of the egg. Ive got another one who seems to be in the same position. Thin. Will give it a few more hours to see how it goes. Thankyou for your help i was really at my wtts end this morning cant believe how stressful this is. Yes its my first time lol.
