stud rights

i recently bought a trio of breeding cochins (gorgeous!), but i had to give the frizzle roo away b/c i can't have a rooster away. the woman agreed to giving me stud rights. how long do they need to be reunited for the girls (there are 2) to start laying fertile eggs? they all, of course, already know each other and have mated before.

Two days. You run the risk of infecting your flock if you don't quarantine, but if you and she sort of "share" birds on a regular basis, you are already sharing germs.
