One of my hens, is sneezing, maybe once every 15 minutes. When she does, it sounds pretty congested. My other four hens, rooster and two ducks are not doing this, only her.
Her daily activities are completely normal. She still lays one per day, scratches about, dust bathes, eyes are clear, she's perky, chases the lower pecking order...everything else is normal.
I'm not sure how long she's been doing this, as it is so hot in middle Tennessee, I have not just sat out by the run to watch and listen, as we would in more moderate temperatures. I only go out once a day to water and collect the eggs, then I just happened to notice.
Could this be a simple allergy, or response to the extreme heat? Might it pass, or could I be in for a rough ride here?
Any knowlegeable input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
-Spence
