We have a blue merle Australian Shepherd with one blue eye and one brown eye. She has white feet and a white tip on the plume of her tail. She is beautiful. I have spent the last few weeks lovingly brushing her coat to remove the winter fur. Her only bad habit is jumping the fence and taking off for parts unknown. We raised the fence 2 more feet but that didn't keep Polly in. So on a cable she went. If we forget and let her in the back yard without putting her on the cable, she's gone. Annoying, to say the least.
Tonight when we got home from going out to eat, Polly was gone. The cable broke. I drove around several blocks looking for her and just as I got home, so did she. Polly's fur was matted with sticky burrs. There was hundreds, if not thousands of them. I tried to brush them out with my furminator
(how I love that furminator) but there was too many burrs. I got the scizzors. Let's just say I would never make it as a dog groomer. About 15 pounds of fur later, Polly looked like an unwilling participant in a barber school run by rabid hamsters with crossed eyes and missing thumbs. Her lovely plumed tail is gone, replaced by a rat gnawed scraggly imitation stick. And the white tip of her tail???? In the trash. Gone. The feathery fur on her front legs is chewed off by my offending scizzors. Her belly fur, ear tufts, even fur between her toes-gone like a freight train, clean outa sight. Gone. Polly looks butchered while still breathing. She is sooooooooo UGLY. I am soooooooooooooo MAD!!
Stupid stupid dog.
