I'm not calling rabbits stupid, it's my question that's dumb.
I'm about to order cages to start raising New Zealand whites for meat. I know the objective is to aim for slaughter at about five pounds but I can't find a reference stating specifically whether you can get them to that age by nursing alone (which obviously means leaving them in Mom's cage), whether you can leave them in her cage and raise Mom's pellet allowance (so there's plenty for all and the kits will self-supplement with pellets when Mom starts weaning them), or whether at some point you absolutely have to move the kits to a separate accommodation.
I'm pretty sure I'd come across that detail while I was researching but I've either lost the reference or I'm mis-remembering. 'Perciate it if someone could straighten me out.
