Styrobator- temp spike! Help!

Today is day 4 of my shipped silkie eggs incubation time. I have been running humidity of 32-35% temp 100.0. I have a borrowed farm innovation 2200 circulated air. Two thermometers running pretty close to reading the same.
First time incubatored here so be kind. I've read hours and hours on this site!
This morning when I woke up temp was up to 101.5. No one touched it and the room temp did not change.
Before the eggs were put in, I ran it for 5 days and I cannot get 99.5 degrees. It's either 100.0 or 97! No in between. The dial is so touchy and crazy. I'm not sure what to do. Both vents are open.

Will they be okay??

If 101 is accurate, don't panick, they are fine.

So, I have a LG9200 with fan and if you know anything about LG9200s you know getting an accurate temp in them is a chore...lol I am happy if it stays above 99 and below 101.5. I highly suggest going for the 100 ish rather than the 97. I usually average between 100-101 in mine. I do have early hatches, usually starting day 19 because of the slightly higher temps, but always have very healthy active birds.
When I have to touch the temp control, I don't turn it, I wiggle it in the direction I need (higher or lower) just enough for it to make a difference. Now, I would rather see it down to between 100-101 rather than above the 101, I would open it and let the temp drop a degree, but it's when the temp starts getting to the 102 and above that I would panic.

Thank you! I'm pretty much obsessed with the temps so I was really annoyed when it jumped. I'll open it for a second and let it cool down.
I tried everything to get it at 99.5. I moved it to 4 different rooms thinking that would help. Ha ha.

The cheaper styros are a pain when it comes to temps. I'm obsessive with mine. Even though it holds the temps fairly well once I get it around the 100, I am still checking on it every time you turn around and even in the night because I am always afraid of a serious spike because they are known for spikes. If you can hold it around 100 or even 100-101 I wouldn't worry too much, just expect them to start hatching day 19/20 instead of day 20/21.

Even though it holds the temps fairly well once I get it around the 100, I am still checking on it every time you turn around and even in the night because I am always afraid of a serious spike because they are known for spikes. I'm going to throw this thing out the door. I don't think my styrobator knows how expensive these eggs are! I got home today and temp was 104. I'm so sad. I have no idea how long. I opened it and juggled the temp control. It's back to 100.0 and holding this evening. I hope my eggs aren't fried.

Yup, sure does. That's how I know that my sponge is drying out because my temp will slightly start to raise. I am able to monitor it regularly because I am home, so I am able to catch it usually before it goes too high.
If you decide to change bators, consider the Hovabator 1588. Excellent recommendations for a styro bator, beautiful picture window and decent temp control. You can get them around $150. I'd say the best you can get that hatches the higher quantity w/o having to sell a vital organ. I know a lot of people that use them and almost everyone praises them.

Hope your eggs weren't at that temp too long, and they are ok.
