This time of year the wild strawberry patch growing against the foundation of our house is overrun with literally hundreds of crickets. Unfortunately that part of the yard is off limits to both the adult hens and the chicks.
I can catch some grasshoppers each day no problem, but I'm getting too old to be stooping over alot trying to catch crickets. Besides the little crickets are pretty fast little boogers.
Is there such a thing as a cricket trap that can be rigged up easily?

I have a big net with a long handle that a just swipe along the ground and it picks up grasshoppers crickets you name it . As for cricket traps If you look hard enough you could probly find them cause I found Spider traps at our lumber yard so you never know.

Get a cricket bucket from the baitshop or Walmart
One of the ones that are made from wire that the fisherman use to keep crikets in while fishing.
They have an open top that the bugs cant get out of.
Put a half of a potato inside for bait and lay it on its side in the grass
Check it the next day and you will find crickets!!
