Depends on what you have on hand. I've taken some 2x4, wood panels, and chicken wire to make basically a box (the coop) that then extends out into the "run" which is enclosed by chicken wire. In my flock I've actually setup "padocks" within my chicken run so that if I need I can close a section to put a sick chicken, broody hen, etc without taking them to far from the rest of the flock. Any kind of shelter can serve as a temp shelter.
About the above shelter, you need 4 2x4 that you layout for the top\\bottom of the shelter. Add braces between the boards as your space needs require. Cover one end with the boards for the coop *I recommend making a door into the coop for yourself* and the rest with wire.
I use a big dog crate, if you don't have one I bet you know someone who could lend you one. Or you can find them used at flea markets, they are good to have around anyway in case you need a chicken hospital or chicken jail!
