Sally my 4 year old nh red, has laid her eggs pretty much in the same nesting box for a long time
Over this past weekend I made the coop much bigger (I had half an old shed for the chickens) i added some new young chickens about 2 months ago so I thought it was time to take over the whole shed

Her nesting box is still in the same spot
The other 2 are on the other side
All my other chickens are not old enough to lay yet

My small polish and silkie hang out to sleep on top of those nesting boxes.
This morning I walked in and Sally laid an egg on top of that box

I think they little ones were traumatized by the experience rofl as they were facing the wall on the box when i walked in

Any reason she would suddenly lay in a different area on top of a nesting boxes

All the boxes are the same they are the plastic storage bins with lids and a hole for them to go in

I figure she would want to lay in the same area as my 7 other chickens hang more in the new area and there is more privacy where her usual nesting box is

Thanks
