Hello, looking for suggestions. I have a flock of 3 hens and 1 rooster. 3 are laying currently. I noticed a day ago one hen had a would that I believe was caused by environment. She sticks her head through fence. But she has since startedattacking one of the other hens. I watched her grab feathers from her and proceeded to eat them. I have separated her to care for her injury. No other hens have any issue with these 2 birds. Please help!!!!

Welcome to BYC.

What are you feeding your chickens? Sometimes feather-eating is due to the need for more protein in the diet.

What size is their coop and run? Crowding can contribute to bullying behavior.

Could you show us some photos?

Separating the chicken can cause trouble later with re-integration so if you can put her into a safe space inside the coop/run so that she remains part of the flock it would be better than removing her from the flock completely.

This is my Outdoor Broody Breaker: https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/outdoor-broody-breaker.76592/ The same kind of dog crate setup is also good as a hospital ward.
